Not-so-Wordless Wednesday

I call this a Beach Bummer. You can never tell what the beach will be like until you get there. We packed up our things and went and got gas (ouch!) for the trip home and discussed other plans while the car was guzzling. Then as we were driving by the beach again it was sunny but since there was still a cold wind blowing in we decided to forego the beach that day. Besides, why go to the beach when you can go out in a boat and dive, snorkel, swim with dolphins and sharks, or parasail!?! Beach Schmeach!

Beach disappointment. It's so sad.

Do you get the fog? On the southern Oregon coast, we were lucky to not have fog. One Independence Day we were there to see fireworks, but you know what we saw instead? Pink fog. Green fog. White fog.

Beware the fog.

We DO get a sort of fog...they call it "vog" because its really a sort of steamy smoke from the volcano on one of the other islands. This is just rain though...where it looks foggy is where the rain was coming down hard. :0) Southern Oregon Coast? Near Coos Bay? Just wondering...I have a friend in Coos Bay.
