The List

This is an incomplete list of the things I'm trying to do before December 15. I know I'm missing a few things but you get the idea. I wish I had more time, but at the same time, I know I would just waste it and end up doing everything at the last minute anyway. So here's at least a partial list of things I need to do or make:
1. matching pajama pants for my girls and their cousins.
2. 4 more bags and 2 more purses.
3. smallish blankets and pillows for my girls' baby dolls and/or stuffed animals.
4. turn 2 sweaters into Christmas dresses for my girls
5. Christmas shop for John
6. gifts/goodies for neighbors and friends
7. decorate for Christmas
8. 2 tutus
9. Christmas cards? or wait until after the baby is born and send an update with an announcement?
10. finish getting the girls' room in order and looking cute
11. organize the basement and purge the STUFF

#10 doesn't necessarily have to be done before the 15th but I'd like to just get it DONE already. The basement is because we are hosting a Christmas party for the youth here and the majority of it will be in the basement where they can jam out to RockBand or play games and have plenty of room. I'm also just tired of seeing the last few half unpacked boxes down there and the pile of things that need to be either donated or trashed or fixed. The girls' toys have been moved to the basement so they can play and have lots of room but I don't have to look at the mess that often. I have a LOT of plans for it (more lighting, pictures, bins, etc) but I usually don't have the time or energy lately. I'll settle for organized-ish for now.
I'll have a new list after the New Year of baby things I need to accomplish but I'm not even going to think of that before Christmas!

hey, I love the new colors. I'm not even organized enough to make a list. I will just fly by the seat of my pants through till Christmas.

Send the updated card. I love how you send them at non traditional times of the year. Saw the pic of you and it is scary how much Penn looks like you!

Reverting Back

Summer Fade

 Summer is drawing to an end. We have traveled to AZ and UT. Played far too many video games and watched entirely too much TV. Workbooks were provided by myself with incentive to anyone who finished would get a large prize...no takers. No mom school this year...that may be a thing of the past with all these kids growing up.  John announced his retirement for next year and we are on the hunt for a place to finally settle into for next year. Nearer to family sounds great. New England has a lot to offer too. Our money will stretch a lot farther in a LCOL area like Iowa or Ohio. We do love being near the ocean or water and did love Alaska. This is going to be harder than I thought. The kids are going back to school and, since we live in SoCal now, we will continue to experience summer. Nearly 5 weeks...

I've been told I need to update the blog so here are several pictures of little Star. She is now just over 11 lbs. and just shy of 23" long. She is just a bit big. Miss Fabulous was nearly 4 months old before she got as big as our Star! She is fun and really cuddly. She really loves to eat (thus the big size!) and sleep but seems to be wanting to be on the move. John has dubbed her "Scooter" because she is never where we put her. She rolled over from her back to her tummy the other day! Still not great at night...sometime she just wants to be awake, but last night she slept 7 hours straight and I'm hoping its the beginning of a trend! Miss Fabulous just LOVES her little sister and is always trying to help. MF is doing a little better in school with a lot of help from her teacher and some from us at home. We are starting her in a program at school where they help children deal with transition, which seems to be the biggest part of her problem. The progr...
