Babysitters
Young Couple Seeks Babysitter, preferably living in the same geographical area, somewhat inexpensive, loves children, willing to work on a week's notice, not addicted to the internet, literate. Will provide toys, food, child, and money. Please respond ASAP!
I have needed a babysitter several times this month. Between doctor's visits and meetings and my husband's work dinners, it just seems like I've been left scrambling for a babysitter. So far, I've had terrific friends who have either stayed with Miss Fabulous or watched her at their house. I love that I can count on friends, but I don't like feeling like I'm abusing the friendship. What I would really like is a dependable teenager that I could pay what I feel is a fair amount for their time and effort. I have had at least one such person in each area we've lived in so far, but I'm struggling now. The girls in this area charge between $5-$15 dollars an hour. If I'm going to pay that much for a sometimes already sleeping child, then there won't be any money to go out with. Miss Fabulous does have a lot of energy, however she is very self-sufficient and not a difficult child to entertain. If you have a stack of books, she will listen as long as you read! Maybe I'm being a little cheap when it comes to the care of my child. It is very important to me that she is taken care of when I can't be there. Paying more money doesn't guarantee good child care though...it just guarantees expensive child care. And when I get asked if I have internet so they can use the computer, it doesn't give me a huge amount of confidence. I need a babysitter tomorrow night too for the Adult session of Stake Conference (church meeting) but at this point it would be so much easier to just stay home. I supposed John could stay home and I could go alone since I feel like I should be there. It would just be nice to go with him.
Anywho. If any of you hear of anything, like a great babysitter just waiting for a child to babysit, let me know. I'll be waiting, but not holding my breath.

Love, Grandma
Girls these days are so picky. I recently heard two girls pass up a service project to go hang with the boys. The service project was only 2 hours long... The only people that ended up going were the leader, her daughter, and a priesthood holder.
I just wanted to cry.
I have 4 kids and I don't pay more than $5 an hour. That's just too much for a teenage girl. What better thing does she have to do?? She can't get a better paying job anyway, might as well take what she can get.
Man when I was a teen, I got $2 an hour and I cleaned the house while I was there. SHEESH!
