S'mores and Sandcastles

I took the kids to a community event, S'mores and Sandcastles.  I didn't really think of it as a swimming thing and so we weren't really prepared to swim.  Thankfully, I had some swim diapers and Star's swim shorts and top in the car.  No towels, so suit for MF, just the few things.  I told Miss Fabulous she could swim in her sundress if she really had to swim.  I guess she did, and she thought it was great...until she got out and there wasn't a towel waiting for her.  I don't have any pictures of her because she was swimming the entire time. 
Dash spent the majority of his time either destroying sandcastles and splashing in the water.
Star did not want her hands and feet sandy....on a beach.  Such a silly little thing!

It was a fun night!  By the time we headed home, we were all covered with wet sand, chocolate, marshmallow stickiness, and graham cracker crumbs.  Next time, we'll bring our suits!

Sooo, I completely get the not liking sand on your feet and in your toes. Star is not so strange.

Nearly 5 weeks...

I've been told I need to update the blog so here are several pictures of little Star. She is now just over 11 lbs. and just shy of 23" long. She is just a bit big. Miss Fabulous was nearly 4 months old before she got as big as our Star! She is fun and really cuddly. She really loves to eat (thus the big size!) and sleep but seems to be wanting to be on the move. John has dubbed her "Scooter" because she is never where we put her. She rolled over from her back to her tummy the other day! Still not great at night...sometime she just wants to be awake, but last night she slept 7 hours straight and I'm hoping its the beginning of a trend! Miss Fabulous just LOVES her little sister and is always trying to help. MF is doing a little better in school with a lot of help from her teacher and some from us at home. We are starting her in a program at school where they help children deal with transition, which seems to be the biggest part of her problem. The progr...

Our Big News
