Cooking Show

After ballet/tap we went to the church so I could participate in a cooking show. We are working on food storage (big time!) in our ward (church congregation) and the Relief Society is in charge of teaching everyone what to do with it. Since I've been making our bread for a little while now, they asked me to participate and show what I do with wheat. Someone else did bread so...I showed them how to make scones (or elephant ears, or indian fry bread...). It was simple and easier than I thought it would be. We also learned about storing items for light and communication and some information/presentations on foods made with beans.
Me, giving the presentation on scones. My camera died right after this pictures so this is it.
For scones: I just make bread about once a week and reserve some of the dough for scones. Just heat some oil, take a small chunk of dough (pre-risen...is that a word?), stretch it out, and fry. We eat it with honey, cinnamon & sugar, or refried beans and taco toppings.
