It Begins!

A couple of months ago I gave Miss Fabulous some options. I wanted to sign her up for a class and gave her the choice of soccer, baseball, ballet, tap, or gymnastics. I secretly hoped she'd pick soccer but had an idea she would choose ballet. She did, so I started looking into the ballet classes held on the different military bases nearby. I found out they have a ballet/tap class so she gets to take both until she gets a little older and can decide which one she likes more. She LOVES it!!!

I was pretty proud of the bun (I've never done one!).
At the Community Center all set to go in the studio. Parents have to stay out in the lobby but can watch through the "one way" window so I got to watch but didn't get a chance to take any pictures. The girls were really cute...MF was the youngest by at least 6 months but she did great!
On another note, Thank You So Much Heather for letting us borrow Hayden's shoes! MF is growing like crazy so I know I'll have to buy shoes soon enough, but it was a huge relief not to have to buy some now just to turn around and buy them again in a few months. Thanks!

How cute!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks so great. And the bun is a job well done:) I think a lot of girls start out in tap and then realize that Sports are way better. Thats how I was! Nothing like being a tom-boy:) lol

I wonder if they have a ballet class around here... so cute!


My daughter is pretty close to your daughters age and is in soccer. They really don't do anything soccerish in soccer until later anyway. My daughter loves it but she wants to kick the ball around and run with the other kids not stack cones to kick over and run obstacle courses.

Reverting Back

Summer Fade

 Summer is drawing to an end. We have traveled to AZ and UT. Played far too many video games and watched entirely too much TV. Workbooks were provided by myself with incentive to anyone who finished would get a large prize...no takers. No mom school this year...that may be a thing of the past with all these kids growing up.  John announced his retirement for next year and we are on the hunt for a place to finally settle into for next year. Nearer to family sounds great. New England has a lot to offer too. Our money will stretch a lot farther in a LCOL area like Iowa or Ohio. We do love being near the ocean or water and did love Alaska. This is going to be harder than I thought. The kids are going back to school and, since we live in SoCal now, we will continue to experience summer. I'm still not sure what MissFab is doing this year. Star started her Sophomore year of high school and she is nearly a week in. Nearly 5 weeks...

I've been told I need to update the blog so here are several pictures of little Star. She is now just over 11 lbs. and just shy of 23" long. She is just a bit big. Miss Fabulous was nearly 4 months old before she got as big as our Star! She is fun and really cuddly. She really loves to eat (thus the big size!) and sleep but seems to be wanting to be on the move. John has dubbed her "Scooter" because she is never where we put her. She rolled over from her back to her tummy the other day! Still not great at night...sometime she just wants to be awake, but last night she slept 7 hours straight and I'm hoping its the beginning of a trend! Miss Fabulous just LOVES her little sister and is always trying to help. MF is doing a little better in school with a lot of help from her teacher and some from us at home. We are starting her in a program at school where they help children deal with transition, which seems to be the biggest part of her problem. The progr...
