Easter Overload

We basically had an entire week of Easter.  Three egg hunts besides our own little one and Easter baskets on the actual day.
Dash learned VERY quickly what to do with the eggs once he picked them up.  His first instinct was to throw them.  He's SUCH a boy!
Star was very fast, but she also had certain colors she liked AND she wanted to check out was was inside before going on.  I'm amazed she got as many as she did.
They did all but the babies egg hunt outside.  It was a little misty outside, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
I even got into the swing of things when they announced 12 and up...including adults.  I think I walked away with the majority of the prizes too.  Movie tickets, golf tokens, 1 lb. chocolate bunny, web cam, digital picture frame, etc.  Dash and Star each got a 1 lb chocolate bunny and a blow-up bunny toy, and the little ones could trade their plastic eggs for goldfish and fruit snacks.  Miss Fabulous was a little sulky since she ONLY got candy and small toys in her eggs (no big prizes), not that everyone didn't share with her!
We took Dash and Star to an egg hunt at the local library.  It can get really crazy at that one!  I think everyone did well though.  I took Dash out to the back part of it right off and let him just take his time and not get trampled.  The other little kids left a good sized circle of eggs around him and didn't just run up and take all the eggs like they did the year before with Star.  On the way home I let Star have a piece of candy, but wanted to wait until we got home to let Dash have one.  I had given her just a plain chocolate one, but as we were getting closer to home I started smelling peanut butter.  I got after Star for getting another piece without permission and she kept saying, "I not, mom!"
I pulled into the driveway, turned around and saw this:
Dash had gotten his sneaky little fingers into the candy and was eating it as fast as he could.  Look at his little hands and face COVERED in chocolate.
We colored eggs Saturday night (Easter Eve):
We take our egg coloring seriously.

 My color wheel one.
We were invited to join some friends in their Easter egg hunt.  I went early to help them hide the eggs and John brought the kids a little bit later.  They had fun and ended up with a TON of candy!

Dash was really having fun collecting eggs.
Star had so many, they kept falling out of her basket.  She didn't notice and I didn't tell her.  One of the other little kids followed her around picking up the eggs that fell.
MF emptied her eggs into my bag so she would lose any.  We tried to get Star to do the same but she wasn't having it.

Dash all dressed up for church.
Miss Fabulous in her Easter Dress.  I, in normal Kate fashion, waited until Easter eve to make the dresses.  Star ended up with a skirt instead and, sadly, I didn't get a picture of it.  Same colors as MF, but a little different match-up.  I will one day be able to get things done ahead of time.  One day...
