San Diego

We got to San Diego late on the 25th of May and stayed with friends (THANK YOU Clark Family!!). We went to Sea World on the 26th. We forgot our sunscreen and all got a nice little burn. It had been 9 years since I had been to Sea World and longer than that for John. Sadly, we were a little disappointed. Miss Fabulous still loved everything but she didn't know what she was missing. We were able to see the sea lion show, but the best part of that show is the guy that comes out before any of the animals. We were also able to see the orca show.
We had great seats near the little platform in the front.
So we had a nice up-close view of the show. The show was very short but we loved being able to see the orcas.
They didn't have a dolphin show at the time and the Cirque show wasn't running either. We found there were more rides and lines than we remembered and a lot less sea life.
One thing I did like was the baby play area. I was able to send John, Tina, and Miss Fabulous off to see the pet show (dogs, cats, pigs, etc.) and let little Star out of the stroller to play.
Miss Fab wanted her picture taken by the Shamu Beetle. MF has been really into VW Beetles lately. I think its cute that she has a favorite car.
Over all, we enjoyed spending time with the Clarks...no matter that it was such a short time. Sea World seems to have changed from a place to see different sea life and shows to a really expensive, odd assortment of rides and characters.
The morning after Sea World we dropped Tina off at the airport and headed off to Arizona to see John's family and lots of friends!
