Phoenix

Our first stop in the Phoenix area was to visit the Burton family. The Burtons lived downstairs from us in 2001/2002 when we lived in Seattle. We used to play games quite a bit and Tish and I would share our latest sewing projects.
It was great to catch up with them and made us sad that we aren't their neighbors anymore. We wish we had had more time to spend with them but we also hope to see them whenever we visit Arizona. Oh...and I'll try to remember to post Monkey bread instructions on FB, Krystine!
From the Burton's, we headed off to meet up with my brother, David, for dinner. This was the only time we'd be able to spend with him since he was in the process of moving to the Phoenix area and he had orientation for the remaining days we were there. I'm glad he got to meet Star. Then next time he sees her, she'll probably be running around and driving me crazy!
We left him and headed to John's sister's house and on the way, Miss Fabulous got sick. That night, we all felt horrible. MF slept on the floor in the bathroom, John on the floor outside the bathroom, Star went through several pairs of clothes, and although I didn't feel wonderful, I was up most of the night taking care of the rest. By morning, everyone but myself was feeling much better. We went to visit with our great friends, Jim and Brooke and kids, went to dinner and then we all met up with John's sister, Kathy, and her husband, Brian, and headed out for some miniature golf and shaved ice.
The next morning we all went to the Phoenix zoo (Thanks Cooks!!!). We enjoyed the animals and the company. I think the favorite parts for the kids was the tree house playground and the splash pad though.
Super-J and Miss Fabulous on the frog. These two are about 4 months apart and are both going into the 1st grade. They are also very silly together!
Big-T, Miss Fab, and Super-J playing on the splash pad.
Miss Fab showing Star that she can splash in the puddle.
Star got caught unawares by the little jet of water.
Big-T hiding behind Star, Miss Fabulous, Baby L, Little C, and Brooke.
We sure had fun with everyone. Thank you for getting us into the zoo Brooke and a BIG thank you for letting us stay with you Kathy and Brian!
On the 4th of June we headed out to Las Vegas. On the way we went through lots of Joshua Trees. I got a picture just because I can.
The Hoover Dam. We didn't get a chance to take a Dam tour, but we saw lots of Dam workers and I took lots of Dam pictures. Yes, I just had to do that.
