Six to Eight

I'm going to backtrack just a little to November 3rd. On November 3rd (last Thursday), I had a doctor's appointment. I had been waiting for that appointment for nearly a month and was pretty happy that the day had finally come and I might get a few answers. I arrived at my appointment (Star and Dash in tow) 10 minutes early to fill out the normal paperwork. Turned paperwork in. Waited. Waited. Waited. For nearly 45 minutes. The nurse finally called me (us) back, did the normal blood pressure "how are you feeling today" bit and then left. Then I waited. Waited. Waited. After 45 minutes, the doctor came in (ish...she stood in the doorway) and asked if this was going to take long ('cause she had another patient...and a more important one apparently). I told her no, that I didn't need to talk to her after all, dragged the kiddos to the checkout line (yes, there was a line) and asked for my records. I am now looking for a new doctor.
We went home and in very little time this happened:
Star shut little Dash's finger in the hinge part of the door. It was really flat and for a little while I just hoped it wasn't broken. I really don't think she even knew he had his finger in there, she just likes to shut all the doors. All the time.
His little finger is still a little bruised but it doesn't look like there will be any lasting damage.
November 3, John had also gone to one of the islands to work on a lighthouse, but was supposed to be back early enough for me to make a run to the store before my Primary board meeting, but he couldn't get back before 5:30, so I was still setting up when my teachers arrived. It was just a long day. Thankfully, those days don't happen all the time!
And here's a few pictures of the little man!

Such a happy guy!

Day 6: I'm thankful for Stake conference. We didn't actually make it there (an hour drive each way, plus Star and Dash have colds), but instead we stayed home and spent the entire day together, relaxing! I DO wish we could have made it. Perhaps next time!

Day 7: I'm thankful for talents. I have been given a large share of talents and I love to use them. I love learning new things and expanding on those talents!

Day 8: I'm thankful for technology. Without technology, I would not be blogging. I wouldn't be able to keep in touch with my family and extended family nearly as much.
