Its about time...
I really haven't been good at posting. Its just really easy to post whatever, whenever on FB that I just have neglected blogging. I'm also really lazy right now when it comes to sitting and typing so that's why its been so long and also why there won't be any pictures in this post...I'm just too lazy.
So here's what's been going on around here:
The Fourth of July was fun. We spent it with the majority of my family and extended family on my mom's side. Parade, BBQ, and fireworks as well as a baby shower for myself (Thanks everyone!) right after the BBQ.
Enjoyed the last few days with my family before packing up (came home with 2x as much stuff as I went with) and coming home. Our air conditioner broke about a week before MF and I arrived home and it still isn't fixed and they aren't sure when they will get it fixed so for now they have installed a portable unit in the living room and we just have to suffer in the rest of the house. Hopefully the part comes in soon...you'd think they'd keep parts on island because you know it takes forever to get anything shipped out here, but no...that would be too easy.
As you can see by my timeline above, I only have about 3 weeks left until my due date...not that I'm counting on that date to be true but even if she comes late, I don't have much time left. The crib is down from the rafters and sitting out in the back yard now just waiting for some fresh paint and the changing table is in pieces in the garage in various stages of painting. Maybe it will all be done before Star gets here. I've sorted through the sizes of clothing, bought soap, bottles, formula, binkies, alcohol & cotton swabs, diapers, etc. and am working on the baby quilt, curtains, and a queen size quilt (for the guest bed in the room) and hope to get it all done in the next week or so. I'm getting to the point where I'm just not comfortable ever...a stage I think I totally missed (or blocked out somehow) with Miss Fabulous. Having my house 82* or more isn't helping but there's nothing I can do about it so I'm just going to keep working on what I can and hopefully I don't melt before they fix the a/c.
I'm also trying to get MF ready for kindergarten. We spent the majority of yesterday and probably will spend some of today gathering school supplies and trying to find uniforms to fit Miss Fab. It seems that all the children who need uniforms are all the same size...either that, or they just don't think kids start school when they are size small...or extra small. We have enough to start so I can keep my eyes open for her size and maybe order what we need online.
Anyhow, I'm about ready for this baby to come and for school to start. MF keeps talking about her birthday, which is at the end of August, so I guess I had better start thinking about that too. Sign ups for dance are coming up soon too. Oh goodness, I guess I had better go make a list.
