Yet another thing
Fae learned how to get the fridge open. Yes, I know I've been spoiled since I believe most kids are into the fridge long before age 3 but I really was hoping she would leave it alone until...say...she could make her own sandwiches and make healthy snack choices such as carrots and grapes. I loved that the suction on the fridge was so great that even I had a little trouble getting it open. Maybe someday I will make a fridge that will be able to read your hunger level and only open when you are really hungry. The same would go for the Freezer.
Our freezer's safety went out the window along with the rest of the fridge, though I firmly believe it is even harder to open. However, THAT is where the true goodies are found (extra incentive?)! I had a weak moment and bought popcicles (not too too weak since they SAY they are all fruit) but since they are in the biggest box I could find...the only place they will fit is the bottom of the freezer, perfect height for a child looking for such a treat. I found the entire box on the floor yesterday with them all in an advanced stage of meltation (?), but since we can't waste food they went back in the freezer and we will just have to eat them with a spoon.
Well, the independence will continue to spread, I'm sure. One of these days I expect to find the girl sitting on the counter "cooking" some eggs or something of the sort.
