Who?

1. Who eats more? John does...although I'm pretty sure I eat my fair share.
2. Who said "I love you" first? John. I finally said it sometime the next day.
3. Who weighs more? He does!
4. Who sings better? I think we might be equal on this one, maybe a little better on John's part.
5. Who's older? He is by 4 days.
6. Who's smarter? We both have areas we excel in...however I think he's smarter.
7. Who's temper is worse? This one is definitely me.
8. Who does the laundry? Mostly me, although I'm not very good at it. Rarely does it all get done at once. John starts doing it when he gets desperate.
9. Who does the dishes? Me. Its one of the jobs John really dislikes.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? From the foot of the bed, John sleeps on the right side...although I don't remember when that was determined. I think every time we move it changes.
11. Who's feet are bigger? His.
12. Who's hair is longer? Mine. 13. Who's better with the computer? He is. I try and I could probably do more, but I think he likes to do stuff so I just let him.
14. Who mows the lawn? He does. I haven't ever mowed a lawn and I'm fine with keeping it that way.
15. Who pays the bills? I do. I am the family accountant.
16. Who cooks dinner? I do! I love to cook! John has Wednesdays though just for a break for me.

17. Who drives when you are together? Mostly he does. I used to argue about it but I've gotten used to it and I'm a lot more pleasant to be around when I'm not yelling at the other drivers.

18. Who pays when you go out together? Well it all comes out of the same place so whoever's card is more convenient at the time.

19. Who is the most stubborn? We might have to take a tie on this one. 20. Who's the first to admit when they're wrong? Probably me.

21. Who's parents do you see more? Well, since we no longer live in the same town as John's family, we probably see mine more...even though they live a lot farther away.

22. Who named your dog? No dog here!!!

23. Who kissed who first? It was mutual consent...although he asked me.

24. Who asked who out? He asked me and then drove 2 hours to take me out.

25. What did you do? We went to dinner at a favorite Mexican place and then went bowling with a friend of ours. I hadn't been bowling before so it was interesting.

26. Who is more sensitive? Probably me.

27. Who's taller? John is 8" taller than I.

28. Who has more friends? Varies on where we live. I'd say John has more friends here.

29. Who has more siblings? This is also a tie. John has 3 sisters and a brother and I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

30. Who wears the pants in your family? Pretty sure we both do!

Reverting Back

In 2006, we moved to Hawaii.  I started this blog that year.  I blogged as an outlet and a way to keep in touch with my family across an ocean.  It was far simpler than sending out individual or group emails loaded with as many pictures as emails would allow back then.  I might even still have copies of those emails, tucked away in some folder somewhere.  Blogging became a way for me to make friends, or feel like I had made friends.  I followed other blogs and, occasionally commented...but I’d say odd things.  Not on purpose. Summer Fade

 Summer is drawing to an end. We have traveled to AZ and UT. Played far too many video games and watched entirely too much TV. Workbooks were provided by myself with incentive to anyone who finished would get a large prize...no takers. No mom school this year...that may be a thing of the past with all these kids growing up.  John announced his retirement for next year and we are on the hunt for a place to finally settle into for next year. Nearer to family sounds great. New England has a lot to offer too. Our money will stretch a lot farther in a LCOL area like Iowa or Ohio. We do love being near the ocean or water and did love Alaska. This is going to be harder than I thought. The kids are going back to school and, since we live in SoCal now, we will continue to experience summer. I'm still not sure what MissFab is doing this year. Star started her Sophomore year of high school and she is nearly a week in. Nearly 5 weeks...

I've been told I need to update the blog so here are several pictures of little Star. She is now just over 11 lbs. and just shy of 23" long. She is just a bit big. Miss Fabulous was nearly 4 months old before she got as big as our Star! She is fun and really cuddly. She really loves to eat (thus the big size!) and sleep but seems to be wanting to be on the move. John has dubbed her "Scooter" because she is never where we put her. She rolled over from her back to her tummy the other day! Still not great at night...sometime she just wants to be awake, but last night she slept 7 hours straight and I'm hoping its the beginning of a trend! Miss Fabulous just LOVES her little sister and is always trying to help. MF is doing a little better in school with a lot of help from her teacher and some from us at home. We are starting her in a program at school where they help children deal with transition, which seems to be the biggest part of her problem. The progr...
