I Give Up!

For now.  I have been trying to load pictures and write about them in several other posts, but I just can't seem to get the pictures right and I'm tired of being interrupted and then I don't know where I was.  What a sentence!  Anyway.  The other posts will have to wait.
It is 9 days until Halloween and our Halloween celebrations start this Saturday (the 27th).  I have yet to start sewing a single costume.  Am I worried?  No WAY!  I usually wait until the evening before or the day of the first celebration to START on costumes.  I put the "pro" in procrastinate.  Miss Fabulous is going to be a mummy, Star a "witchie", and Dash a pirate.  I REALLY wanted to make Dash a vampire because I think he'd make a marvelous one, but John wanted a pirate and possibly the pirate costume may be easier to put together.  I get asked at least 5 times daily when the costumes will be done, so they just might get done earlier than normal just to stop the constant onslaught.
I might catch up on the laundry by Thursday.  Might.
I had the chance this last week to go to Time Out For Women.  I enjoyed most of it.  I met Mercy River (love them!), took a few pictures, ate WAY too much, and enjoyed a hotel room all to myself.  Then I left my pillow there and, seriously, that puts a damper on all my memories of the event.  I miss my pillow!  *sniff sniff*
I came home from TOFW to find a pile of dishes waiting for me and all the mess I had left behind.  Somehow I wish I could just send the family away for a week so I could work my magic on my house.  I'm constantly frustrated with the clutter, mess, and non-beauty of it.  It doesn't help that I have zero energy these days and when I do, there's No Way I can possibly clean up everything.
We went camping over Columbus day weekend and enjoyed ourselves.  We spent time with friends, saw some of NH, and nearly froze ourselves while there!  We came home, began unloading the car, and I twisted my ankle.  I thought it was broken, but it is just a really bad sprain.  I'm still limping around on it but I'm doing okay and the kids have been helpful (mostly).  If only Star was a little more careful with where she stomps around and kicks!  I'd say I get kicked or stomped on twice each day at a minimum.  I hope that girl grows into her feet!
I nearly forgot to add this.  #4 due to arrive April 19, 2013.  We should be finding out in the next 3 weeks whether the girls will greatly outnumber the boys!  :)

Oh man, no wonder you're tired and overwhelmed! Congrats on number 4!! If I lived near you I would steal your children for a day (or several) so you could have the house to yourself. I really wish I could.

Look at our blog and you can see Easton in his pirate outfit. The facial hair just makes it. HOpe you get the house tackled to your satisfaction. I think a clean house always makes one feel better.
