Our Day
I will start out by saying that the Spring Cleaning is over. Of course I WILL continue to clean my house, but not to the extent that I feel like I cannot spend time with these little ones I have running around here. I dislike repeatedly turning them away because I have an agenda and they aren't on it. John just about took me up on the offer to pack up the kids and head off to a hotel so I could clean the house in peace. I didn't get to the kitchen appliances, but I do have plans to take them one at a time on a day when John is home. This cleaning marathon was a great lesson to me, that I do love a clean house, I do not like turning away my children, and that I seriously need help. I keep reminding myself that the kids won't always be so small and that hopefully at some point I will have trained them well and they will be able to help. Until then, I will keep picking up the same toys a dozen times each day and chase after runny noses and stinky bums.
Just a few pictures I took in March:
Every day after we get MF off to school, we either get ready to leave for one activity or another, OR we get to stay home. I find that more and more, I prefer to stay home. I get things done, Dash gets a nap, things just seem more calm. I love calm. Dash doesn't usually sleep in a beanbag. That is a signature Star move. Dash LOVES his bed. I lay him down in it and he usually snuggles in and goes to sleep. I had to get a picture (or 3) of him sleeping there. I love that laying near him is a book, a ball, and a bottle. Food, fun, and learning...he loves them all! So sweet this boy!
