Starting Over
Nearly 2 years ago, I started out working with Weight Watchers. I set some goals and teamed up with my awesome friend Melissa. I loved that it was perpetual summer and I could walk the 2 miles or so to my meetings and then ride home with Melissa, stopping on the way to get a smoothie as a reward. In just 10 weeks, I hit my first goal and was really happy with how things were going. Then we moved. And then Dash came along. And then I dealt with some Post-partum issues. And now...its time to start over.
My neighbor and new friend, Nicole, has inspired me to get my rear in gear and jump back on the wagon. I can honestly say, I really don't have a lot of time on my hands. I'm a lucky girl if I can get Dash and Star to nap at the same time...if Star will nap. When that happens, I almost always want a nap or some down-time too. BUT I will work more diligently to take care of me so I can take care of everyone else!
I have been planning to get my craft area set up as well. I have a LOT of projects in my brain all the time. Things I'd love to do, but rarely get the time or energy to get them done! I'm pretty excited to have my own space where I can work and not have to stash my half-finished projects every time we have a meal. Dash and Star play pretty well on their own (depending on how full their tummies are and how close to nap time it is) and so a play area is also in my plans. I really need to get some "before" pictures taken. Its a pretty decent mess.
I drew up some plans this morning for my main work area. I do have to say, those drafting and mechanical drawing classes have sure come in handy! I will be handing them over to John shortly (as soon as I finish my calculations!) so he can get the materials he needs to build it. I'm half thinking of building it myself. Its been so long since I worked with wood, I think I'm a little bit afraid of the tools...something I never experienced in Middle School, High School, and College. Maybe some of my toughness has worn off?
I will let you know how my progress goes! Happy Wednesday!

I love your craft room idea and I am totally jealous! I'd love a craft room/area! I can't wait to see pictures of your finished space!
So glad we got to hang out today and I know we are going to have a successful journey together in becoming healthier!
