This is what happens...
when you don't post for nearly a month. Here is my warning: there are lots of pictures. It is, after all, a family blog. My mom has also been complaining that it doesn't get updated often enough. I really am working on it. I think I may just have to schedule it in! So here it goes...the rest of November:
One day Miss Fabulous came to me and asked if she could rake the leaves in a pile so she could jump in them. I (snickering) said Yes! and away she went...dragging Star with her. It had been a pajama day for myself, Star, and Dash which is why Star is dressed the way she is AND her sister helped her button her coat. Just so you know.
Starting out. It gets dark REALLY early around here.

Kind of an awkward way of raking. Gets the job done though.
Getting ready to run and jump in the HUGE pile!
Success and delight!

Leaf angel.
I believe I have a similar one of Miss Fabulous at just about the same age.
A couple of recent projects:
A diaper bag for a friend. I also made a changing pad cover and a nursing pillow cover out of dr. seuss fabric.

A smallish bag I made for another friend who was moving away. This is a perfect size for church!
Don't you just love the fabric on the inside? I do! I got a bunch of it just in case I need it!
The Saturday before Thanksgiving, we attended a fundraiser Pie Auction/Silent Auction that benefits the Coalition for Children. I take Star and Dash to a playgroup provided by them and it is wonderful! Martina (the auctioneer this year) runs them and she is so great with all the kids! Love it!
Martina in action.
John holding a sleeping Dash and waiting to bid on the cherry pie he was eyeing! Its hard to believe that boy of ours was just 8 months at the time...look how big he is!!!
They had a huge area set up for the kids to play while the parents enjoyed the auction. Melissa (from Xtreme Cheer...love that place too!) ran the kids area and also out bid me on the one pie I wanted!
We went to a friend's house for a potluck. It was pretty chilly and dinner was outside so we bundled up and enjoyed the outdoors!
This guy had just taken a pretty good spill where he cut his mouth up pretty good (I was surprised at the amount of blood!) but we managed to get him smiling again!
Such a big guy!
The girls having fun with the wagon!

The funny thing about the whole leaf thing...the next day was VERY windy and then we had a LOT of leaves on the ground. I'm so glad that MF sometimes pulls me out of my box and helps me to see some of the simple pleasures!

We had a great Thanksgiving at home! My parents drove down to spend the holiday with us. I'm afraid I'm a little snappy sometimes when I cook (not the best company) but thankfully I didn't cook the whole time. We saw the new Muppet movie (SO great!) and did a lot of shopping! I even went out Thanksgiving night and stood in line with all the other crazies. I don't really care to get the GREAT deals on everything (although it is a bonus), I just like the fun of it all! I'm not much of a night owl, but I managed to say up until 3:30 a.m. and then got up with the kids at 6:30 without any ill effects! A giant Thank You to my parents for making that long drive again and for spoiling us rotten while they were here! The kids miss you guys! And your iPads ;)
I think that's it for November. I do have a bunch for December so far, but I will have to see if I can find the time to get it posted before January! HA!
