Oh Dear

Dear Weather,
Please send Spring. I have gardening to do and baby weight to lose. Thank you.

Dear Mom,
Thank you for the card. Sorry I didn't call you on Mother's Day. I will try to call you this week when I get the chance and when you are available too. Miss Fabulous is excited to have you and dad visit (as well as John's family) next week. There are rumors that you are going to go visit Grandma this summer? Are those rumors true? I have a proposal. Maybe. I love you, mom. Thanks for being such a great example to me and those around you. Tell dad hi from us. Talk to you later.

Dear Star,
Please stop destroying everything. It frustrates me to no end. Try to be good to your sister. She loves you a lot and doesn't deserve to have her hair pulled and her art work ripped apart all the time. Also, try not to punch Dash. He's still so little and, at the rate he is growing, he will be even bigger than you. Just sayin'.
All that said, you are the cutest little stinker around. I love how readily you say "Gunkoo" and "Yees Pees". I'm not sure about your complete addiction to "How to Train your Dragon" or the viking hat you HAD to have from a yard sale on Saturday. I love your ability to dance like crazy and how girly and tough you can be at the same time! You are a delightful challenge. I love you. I know that with your spunk, you might just be a great leader someday.

Dear Dash,
What a sweet smile you have! I love that you will sleep anywhere even with chaos all around you. With Star as your sister, this is a wonderful thing! You are such a mellow little guy. You remind me of your dad. You are growing so fast, I can't believe you are 2 months old already.
I love you, my boy.

Dear Miss Fabulous,
Wow. You keep me guessing all of the time. You are a great big sister! I love to see you helping your little siblings. They look up to you and want to be just like you. Star is constantly looking for you while you are at school.
In answer to your questions:
No, I am not preparing for Christmas yet. Ask me again in about 5 months.
I'm not sure what we are going to do for your birthday, but I'm pretty sure it won't be ChuckECheese. I'm not even sure where one is around here.
Yep, I can put a cute little patch on your jeans.
No, you cannot ride your bike to the bus stop. And that's a no for the scooter too. Just because Daddy let you and then rode it home, doesn't mean that I can or will. Your dad is still about the same age as you are.
Yes, you can draw and color as much as you please as long as your chores and homework are done.
I love you MF. Come talk to me sometime. I love our conversations!

Dear John,
I love you. I'm sorry I'm such a wreck these days. Please be patient. Thanks for mopping the floor on Saturday and for being so willing to send me out on a Girls Night Out! My sanity thanks you as well. Yes, I will go out on a date with you...where can we stash the kiddos? I'm sorry you aren't able to get your puppy. I really wish I was strong enough to handle more so you could have it. I promise someday, you can have your dog. I just can't promise that time will be soon. Forgive me? How about a truck as a peace offering? I can go on vacation next year. Besides, Dash is still so little. Next year probably would be better anyway.
You have my love always.

Love the letters! John can have our dog Colonel. Rus won't care if he just disappears one day...

I love the little glimpses these letters give into how life is going for you right now!

Getting a puppy is like having another baby. I would wait until everyone is out of diapers to get one, because dogs never grow out of the stage you have to clean up their poop. ;)
