How does your Garden Grow?

This year we decided to plant a garden. We have been wanting to for a several years and just procrastinated enough, but this year we went for it!
The vegetable garden...or part of it anyway. I think we ended up with 9 zucchini plants, 12 tomato plants, 2 pepper plants (spicy and bell), 2 pumpkin plants, 2 corn stalks, 4 string bean plants, and a rosemary bush. We did plant other things but they didn't seem to make it. We are going to have zucchini and tomatoes coming out of our ears!!! Its a good thing we love both of those things!

I also have a flower garden. I have a BUNCH of bulbs, but I also LOVE the look of wild flowers. The only problem is trying to figure out which are weeds and which are the flowers. I ended up just letting everything grow out and then went through and pulled all the clover, grass, and dandelions.

Next year I'll have a bigger variety of flowers. I didn't even get half of the seeds planted this year! I need to plan a little better, but I should have a LOT of daffodils, crocus, and tulips next year along with the seed flowers.

I love this one! It just showed up and I happily waited to see what it would become! I love the orange ones even better! I may have to get me a few.

I'm loving the gardening and the girls are too. Star "helps" John weed the vegetables and Miss Fabulous helps me in the flowers. The weather has been wonderful lately. We are soaking it all in before it starts to turn cold again.

I bought a bucket of wildflowers and spread them around in the planters. some are about 3 feet high, but I totally LOVE them! Plus when you are done with them you can mow over them. When I did it last time they came back the next year!

Slugs ate all my zucchini plants, and one of my pumpkins too. 12 is going to be a ton of zucchini! Last year we just had two plants, and it was plenty.
